GLOBAL MOUVEMENT CHURCH

Vision

Global Perspective:

GCM's Focus:

  • Population growth: 7 billion; 2 billion Christians to reach 5 billion is driving mobilization.
  • Therefore, we want to:
  • Help establish 5 million churches or faith communities by the end of 2020
  • One church for every 1,000 inhabitants;
  • Definition of a church: A community of at least 10 believers living according to Acts 2:42 and led by a trained and recognized leader (GCM)
  • Helping to plant 103,000 churches or faith communities in 16 countries

The 5 Key Contributions of the Global Movement of Churches (GCM)

  1. Inspiring vision and action to plant 5 million churches or faith communities by the end of 2020
  2. Training leaders who multiply
  3. Initiating and supporting church movements that multiply
  4. Promoting intentional strategic partnerships
  5. Developing (producing) appropriate resources and strategies and making them available (GCM Training, Jesus Film, other training materials, etc.)

Why Collaborate with Churches

  1. The Supreme Order is given to the Church;
  2. Helping the Church Fulfill Its Mandate
  3. The Church has available resources (human, material, and financial).
  4. Encourage and support members of the body of Christ to work together to accelerate the fulfillment of the Supreme Order.

How to Build a Multiplying Church Movement

  1. The Specific Discipleship Process: Win, Build, Train, and Send
  2. MC2.3.0 Process:
  3. Launching Communities (Exposing, Winning)
  4. Developing Communities (Building and Training)
  5. Multiplying Communities (Sending)

Some Challenges

  • The difficulties of working with multiple denominations and getting churches of different denominations to work together.
  • Understanding the term "Church"

Ministry Practices

  • Case Study: You are called to plant churches in the locality of Zambougou. This village has at least five denominations, three mosques, and several traditional religions. As a newly assigned missionary in this area, what will you do to plant new churches?
  • Simulation of a MC2 3.0 cell
